IT Integration Challenge: Bridging Infrastructure Partner Processes The challenge at hand involved integrating the telecommunications provider's IT systems with the infrastructure partners' systems through the S/PRI interface. However, the existing IT processes in Service Order Management (SOM) were tailored to the company's internal infrastructure, creating a mismatch with the partners' implementation processes. The objective was to find a solution that minimized changes to the internal processes while ensuring a seamless integration with the partners. Additionally, the tight timeline demanded completion within three months.

IT Integration Solution: Streamlined Process Development Through close collaboration with the client's business units and the infrastructure partner, we devised a solution concept that facilitated the prompt introduction of new products in the region while enabling iterative development of the IT platform. Leveraging a BPMN engine for process implementation provided numerous benefits in terms of stakeholder coordination. To mitigate potential disruptions caused by frequent modifications to specific functional modules, we implemented comprehensive automatic integration testing from the initial stages of the project. This approach ensured a smooth and reliable integration process.

Successful Results: Timely Product Launch and Strategic Expansion We achieved the timely implementation and production rollout of all critical scenarios for the introduction of new products. This enabled the customer's sales force to commence their activities in the region as planned, resulting in a significant number of new contracts being sold. The implemented IT solution now serves as a solid foundation for future strategic partnerships with infrastructure providers in various regions, fostering further growth and expansion opportunities for the customer.
